What does loving yourself feel like for you?
What does it mean for you when you give yourself a gorgeous dose of self love?
Does it come easily to you or is it a challenge?
If you’re reading this and wondering who the hell gives themselves a gorgeous dose of self love you’re not alone lovely. So often the love piece is there for everyone else yet you can forget to make it a priority for yourself. So when it comes to you there’s nothing left. You’ve been so busy prioritising their needs that there isn’t any time and space left for you.
And that’s before we even mention the whole guilt thing!
I hear you. It’s not your fault lovely. It’s not your fault.

Ingrained habits and behaviours get in the way and stop you showing yourself the love you deserve. You run stories that support this so you end up not even challenging whether it’s true for you as they’ve been there for so long.
Are any of these true for you?
I just don’t have the time right now.
I haven’t got the headspace to think about myself.
I’ll do it when…
I hear you. You are not alone lovely.
This comes up a lot for many of us. Particularly women. Particularly mothers. Always feeling the need to juggle all the things and look after everyone else first. Feeling guilty if you choose yourself over others. Feeling guilty if you don’t as you know that you ‘should’ prioritise yourself but questioning why it can feel like a challenge.
It’s exhausting isn’t it?!
So why show yourself love?

When you show yourself love you acknowledge that it’s okay to prioritise yourself.
You are recognising your value.
You are affirming your worth.
You are choosing yourself and your enoughness.
You are saying yes to yourself.
Just take a moment to think about that.
Think about what it gets to mean.
Think about who it gets to impact.
When you love yourself it sends out ripples to all those around you. It not only impacts you, it impacts others.
If you are just at the start of your journey with the self love piece you are not alone lovely. Know that it gets to be different when you choose you, when you start prioritising yourself. When you start believing in yourself. When you say yes to yourself.

Here are some affirmations to help you on your way:
I am learning to show myself love every day.
I love myself more and more every day.
I am worthy of love.
Try repeating them every day for a week and notice how you feel. Notice the energy in your body. Notice what feels different.
